Rev. Karen Gygax Rodriguez speaks out.

God loves all people equally and works in and through all God's people.

Federated Church’s Core Values are
Acceptance, Family and Spirituality.

We welcome you to the Federated Church. Historically, we are a federation of American Baptist, United Methodist and United Church of Christ congregations. We celebrate that which unifies us; most importantly the centrality of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Core Values focus on acceptance - of Jesus Christ and of His body; family - loving the Lord God and loving our neighbors as ourselves; and spirituality - our personal walk with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Acceptance
  • acceptance of God’s love; acceptance of truth of Jesus Christ; acceptance of presence of the Holy Spirit
  • acceptance of one another as part of our family in faith; we are part of one another because of Christ and what Christ did for us

Family

  • relationships are key; growing to maturity is key; environment is key for health; love is key
  • multi-generational with different key songs; key scriptures; key traditions that help us connect with our faith
  • in the small community of Green Lake, it means the inclusion of the community and the service to the community
Spirituality
  • there is a spiritual side to our lives which must be nourished; it is a thirst and a hunger
  • the spiritual life has impact in all major areas of our lives: financial; environmental; relationships; growing in knowledge and wisdom; understanding our purpose
  • includes demonstrative fruits of the spirit: goodness; kindness; patience; faithfulness; self-control; love; joy; peace; gentleness
  • an understanding that the bible contains the truths of God which make inescapable demands upon our lives
